Computer Classes

This is a list of upcoming computer classes at Lexington Public Library locations.  Unless noted, all classes are free, one-time sessions.  Advance registration is required and can be completed by clicking on the class's "Register Now" link.

3D Printing Basics

3D printing has made its way to the Digital Studio! This 2-hr session will run through the basics of using our new 3D printers. We'll start with setting up a print job, work our way through loading the filament, and finish by printing a small object.

Completion of this course is required to utilize the Digital Studio's 3D makerspace.

Advanced Features of Excel

Get your hands on pivot tables, table formatting, and advanced formulas. Prerequisite: Intermediate Features of Excel or considerable previous experience with Excel.

Camp Digital Comic book maker

Are you an aspiring artist, often doodling your favorite super heroes and comic book characters? Have you ever thought about creating your very own comic book? If so, this Camp Digital workshop is the one for you! We'll use programs like Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to take your original artwork and create a short comic to call your own. Ages 12-16. Registration required.

Camp Digital: LEGO Animator

Do you love LEGOs? Do you wish you could animate your LEGOs like the LEGO movies and TV shows? Then join us for hands-on workshop where you'll do just that. During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to plan, film and edit a short animated LEGO clip. Bring your smartphone and favorite LEGOs*, and be ready to create some movie magic! *Smartphone and LEGOs are not a requirement to attend.  Ages 12-16. Registration required

Learn how to use the professional film and television industry standard software to create your own video project. This class will cover basic video and audio editing, as well as adding audio and video effects.
