Computer Classes

This is a list of upcoming computer classes at Lexington Public Library locations.  Unless noted, all classes are free, one-time sessions.  Advance registration is required and can be completed by clicking on the class's "Register Now" link.

3D Printing Basics

3D printing has made its way to the Digital Studio! This 2-hr session will run through the basics of using our new 3D printers. We'll start with setting up a print job, work our way through loading the filament, and finish by printing a small object.

Completion of this course is required to utilize the Digital Studio's 3D makerspace.

Advanced Features of Excel

Camp Digital Audio Maker

Record, mix, and share a song with our Audio Maker workshop! Enjoy a real professional recording session with live musicians.  You'll learn about mic techniques, recording software and how to share your recording in addition to a little of the science behind audio waves. No prior experience needed as our experienced audio engineer will guide you through the recording process on your first step to your Grammy.Ages 12-16.  Registration required

Camp Digital Comic book maker

Are you an aspiring artist, often doodling your favorite super heroes and comic book characters? Have you ever thought about creating your very own comic book? If so, this Camp Digital workshop is the one for you! We'll use programs like Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to take your original artwork and create a short comic to call your own. Ages 12-16. Registration required.

Camp Digital: Minecraft Mania II Animation Lab!

Camp Digital: Movie Maker

Looking to become the next big YouTube star? Thanks to modern technology, it is easier than ever to create and share videos across the web. During this workshop, teens will have an opportunity to plan, film, and edit a short movie about their hobbies and interests. Thanks to the Digital Studio's green screen, you can shoot this film anywhere in the world...or even outer space! Ages 12-16. Registration required

We will cover the basics of using Apple software and hardware. Some experience with computers is necessary. This class will be using Mac OS X Sierra.
