This is a list of upcoming computer classes at Lexington Public Library locations.  Unless noted, all classes are free, one-time sessions.  Advance registration is required and can be completed by clicking on the class's "Register Now" link.

Advanced Features of Excel

Get your hands on pivot tables, table formatting, and advanced formulas. Prerequisite: Intermediate Features of Excel or considerable previous experience with Excel.

After Effects Basics

Learn how to use the professional film and television industry standard software to create your own video project. This class will cover basic video and audio editing, as well as adding audio and video effects.

Prerequisite: Prior experience with Adobe or Video-editing software.

Digital Scrapbooking with Microsoft Publisher

Publisher is a simple and quick way to generate photo albums and scrapbooks digitally for home printing or professional printing at your local print shop. Learn how to set up a booklet, insert and edit images, add and edit text, and get your publication ready for printing! Prerequisite: Intermediate Features of MS Word or previous experience using publishing software.

Discover how to sign up for an email account with Mail.com, send messages, work with attachments, and manage your inbox. Class email accounts will be provided. Prerequisite: Internet Basics or previous Internet experience.

Final Cut Pro X Basics

Learn how to use the professional film and television industry standard software to create your own video project. This class will cover basic video and audio editing, as well as adding audio and video effects.

Prerequisite: iMovie.

Firefox. Internet Explorer. Google Chrome. Learn your way around a browser and the tools that can make working with webpages a breeze. Prerequisite: Students should be able to use the mouse and keyboard.

We will cover the basics of using Apple software and hardware. Some experience with computers is necessary. This class will be using OS X El Capitan.

Introduction to Mac 2

We will continue to cover the basics of using Apple's Mac OS X El Capitan. We'll start to learn more advanced features of Apple's OS such as creating folders, using external drives, and formatting hard drives.

Microsoft SkyDrive is the primary site we'll explore, but the class also provides some basic information of several other prominent storage sites.
