Errors accessing databases?

You may experience an authentication error when you try to access the databases if your login information is stored in your browser’s cache.

If you are unable to access the databases, please try the following:

Internet Explorer:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Options.
  2. Under the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Cookies and Delete Files to clear the cache.
  3. Return to http://www.lexpublib.org/databases, or click the Refresh button if you are already there.
  4. Click on the link for the database, and you should be sent to a login page.

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data.
  2. Uncheck all boxes except Cache and click Clear Private Data Now.
  3. Refer to step 2 above.

If you have Norton Internet Security on your computer:

Norton Internet Security products can sometimes interfere with authenticated traffic from one website to another, and you may have to add each database's URL to your trusted sites. Symantec's web site has more information on how to do this for each Norton Internet Security product.

If you continue to encounter errors, please contact our webmaster directly at 859 231-5516.
