Introduction to Geocaching

Would you like to imagine yourself as an explorer, discovering hidden "treasure" while seeing new areas as close as your neighborhood and as far away you can imagine? Geocaching may be what you are looking for. Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity in which the participants use a GPS-enabled device such as a smartphone or a GPS receiver to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world. This seminar is an introduction to this high-tech scavenger hunt and will cover how to hide and find a geocache as well as basic usage of a GPS receiver.
