The daytime book discussion group at Beaumont meets two Tuesday mornings a month. Previously they did not meet during the summer months, but will be doing so in 2015. Titles selected for reading include nonfiction as well as fiction, and are frequently supplied by the library. The reading schedule is subject to change due to holidays, inclement weather and availability of titles. While the origin of mahjong,called mah-jongg in the US, is unknown, the fast-paced four-player game is popular throughout Asia.
If you're interested, this is a great opportunity to learn and play with others. At Tates Creek, we host two ongoing Mahjongg playing groups that meet monthly.
