Rosemarie got back on her feet at the library
Rosemarie had worked all her adult life until a few years ago. “I’ve always been someone who had a job, but my job applications were all on paper,” Rosemarie says. “This is a new age. Everything’s on computer.”
Without a job, Rosemarie was soon homeless.
She already knew about the Lexington Public Library, but then she discovered Job Lab, open-ended sessions at the library’s computer center designed to help job seekers.
“They help with the whole thing—resume, cover letter, online applications, job searches—everything,” she says. “I’d been to the library before, but once I was job hunting, I was there every day.”
Today, Rosemarie is working again and back to living in her own place.
