With funding provided by

Destination Kindergarten is the library’s program aimed at preschoolers and their caregivers - trying to help them practice the skills they need to be ready for Kindergarten.  We will learn about basic early literacy concepts and explore other areas like science, math and motor skills.  Each location will have a featured Destination Kindergarten area where caregivers can find not only fun books to read with their child, but information about development milestones and school readiness.  They will also be able to pick up a variety of activities to do at home to begin practicing several skills they will be expected to have upon entering school.

We plan to distribute bingo cards full of activities.  You can pick up a bingo card and a DK branded backpack at any of our locations.  When you finish the card, bring it in to collect a different one and a prize!  If you complete all 5 cards, utilize the activity sheets that will be available, and come to some of our DK branded programs, you will be ready for school in no time!!
