Let's explore how our senses affect our eating experience and discuss some activities that allow us to have playful experiences with food. Parents, caregivers, and children are invited to join the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service to learn how using our senses can make eating a more enjoyable experience. Registration is recommended but not required.
Design your own stamp and bring it to life using 3D printing! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn basic 3D modeling skills and create a personalized stamp you can take home. No experience needed?just bring your creativity! For teens, young adults, and adults.
Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
An exhibit of reproduction uniforms and clothing worn during the American Revolution, including those of men, women, and children, combined with prints, maps, flags, objects, and text telling the stories of their wartime experiences. Organized and created by the Transylvania Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Join us at the Beaumont Branch for a special author event with New York Times bestselling author Patti Callahan Henry on Sunday, May 3rd at 2:00 PM. Patti Callahan Henry will discuss her writing life and the stories and history that inspire her beloved novels, followed by a Q&A.
To honor the Mexican-American heritage that celebrates the battle won over the French at the Battle of Puebla, Eastside will host a program designed for preschoolers. We will create take-home crafts like papel picado, musical instruments, pinatas and have some in-house face painting.
