This month, we’ll be making teriyaki sauce from scratch and cooking up chicken or vegetable teriyaki for a lunch bento!
Open to ages 8–12. Registration required.

We’ll build cozy forts, read together, and play games. Just bring a flashlight and your favorite fort-building supplies.
Note: The library closes to the public at 7 PM, so please arrive before then.

Savory Memories: Kentucky Foodways is a unique blend of personal narrative, memories, and recipes celebrating the rich culinary heritage of Kentucky through the lens of Kentucky authors. Edited by Linda LaPinta, this collection features essays from 22 Kentucky authors, each sharing personal memories and recipes associated with a particular dish.

A bounty of wonders await you at the Renaissance Faire! Activities include archery, axe throwing, a variety of craft tables, and a stage combat lesson taught by the wonderful folks of the Kentucky Shakespeare Company. Plus, we'll have free food and drinks! 

Enjoy games,  button-making, and a live performance by a dance group. Discover music and traditions from across Latin America while exploring hands-on crafts and cultural activities.

You've grown a great garden! Now what? Or you've supported local farmers at the farmers' market, but now what do you cook? This class will go into the best vegetable harvesting techniques, storage recommendations and healthy summer harvest recipes.
