We'll learn baking, cooking, and healthy eating together. Get ready to mix, bake, and enjoy delicious foods from around the world! Registration required. For Tweens (8-12).
We'll be taking inspiration from the classic and beloved Reading Rainbow program, remixing those literacy lessons for teens! So hop on in for a session centering LGBTQIA+ stories (and don't be afraid to let the Reading Rainbow theme song get stuck in your head).
This program is for teen participants (15+). All participants are asked to wear their favorite color!

Let's welcome summer with a Hawaiian Luau themed Bite Club! Members can choose a recipe from the cookbooks provided or use their own recipe to contribute a potluck dish. If it's your first time, you can simply come to taste, discuss, and enjoy!

Bring your poetry, prose, or other short writing and join us every other month at our Open Mic Night series for an opportunity to share your work! Please keep performances to around 3-4 minutes.

Bring your sketchbook and favorite art supplies for a chilled out afternoon of creating art! We'll have music, guided exercises to get your creativity flowing, and a supportive environment for learning. Fight art block, make connections, improve your drawings, or just come hang out to relax!
If you love recommending books, this is for you! Kids who sign up to be a Kid Librarian get to create a display of their favorite reads—applications will be available at the event. We’ll also hear book talks from former Kid Librarians and learn how the Lexington Public Library processes its collections from our Collection Manager.
After the library closes, the stacks transform into obstacles for putt-putt golf! For ages 13+.
