This month's theme is Mythology vs. Folklore. Pick any book you want that fits the theme and come discuss it with friends! Each month, we will discuss books in a different genre and everyone will talk about the book they chose to read. Spoilers may occur, so please be advised.

Be ready to race at 3:30pm if you would like to participate. Teams can include up to 4 participants - either bring your puzzling crew with you, or let us introduce you to some fellow puzzle enthusiasts in your community! 

Each session is packed with hands-on fun led by University of Kentucky professors. This time, we’re diving into the world of Astronomy! Come learn, get inspired, and maybe even discover your dream career! Registration is required. Questions? Email us at ebae@lexpublib.org

We encourage you to bring in clean, old t-shirts to tie dye. 

This month, we'll be watching The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, and crafting our own Hobbit Doors from styrofoam. 

Ages 13 - 18, registration recommended to reserve your supplies. If registration is full, please still come to enjoy the movie!

This month, we’ll learn how to make a refreshing summer salad and create our own dressing. We’ll also whip up some delicious banana "ice cream"!
Registration is required. For tweens ages 8–12. 

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Registration required so I will be able to purchase enough supplies for everyone.

Visit the Marksbury Family Branch to redeem your ticket(s)! Participants may obtain one puzzle per ticket.

2:30 PM: Open to ticket holders.

3:30 PM: Open to everyone, first come first served, limited inventory. We hope to find a home for every puzzle!

Learn tools to regulate during stressful moments! Participants will practice slow moving yoga on the floor in a dim space. Every participant will have time to craft on their own project - bring your own (such as crochet, sketching, journaling) or work on a provided rock art craft. For ages 13-17, registration required.
