The weekly classes will be informal and guided by a moderator.  EVERYONE is welcome - ANY native language, ANY English level. The wildly popular zunnia is a favorite but often prone to disease problems. We will introduce you to improved varieties that will impress friends and neighbors. You will be amazed by the bloom size, disease resistance, and super-bright colors. We will provide seeds of a few fun varieties.

Discover the life of pioneering Black female jockey Cheryl White. We'll have a brief talk with Q&A and hands-on activities. For all ages. No registration required. 

Every child who attends the program will receive a copy of The Jockey & Her Horse – a children’s book about Cheryl White, co-written by her brother.

In this fast-paced, hands-on session, you’ll go from "never held a uke" to playing your first few chords. We’ll cover the absolute essentials: how to hold it, how to tune it, and the "magic chords" that unlock hundreds of your favorite songs.

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
