Around the World is a book challenge for people who want to join a book club, but want to choose what books they read, based on the selected country each month. Share about your book at our meeting! Choose a book by an author from the chosen country, or with a setting in that country. Registration requested.

January 11 = Australia

Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Registration required so I will be able to purchase enough supplies for everyone.

This beginner workshop is all about the who, what, and why of local government. We’ll help you understand how Lexington’s local government is structured, who is in charge of what, and how legislation gets made. The workshop includes an interactive activity to learn more about the people behind local government.

Length: 75 minutes

The weekly classes will be informal and guided by a moderator.  EVERYONE is welcome - ANY native language, ANY English level. A FREE afterschool drop-in program at the Northside and Marksbury Branches for kids aged 5-12 and a caregiver, 3 pm - 5 pm Monday through Friday. Join us for snacks, STEAM and enrichment activities, crafts, reading or homework help from one of our volunteers. No need to register - just show up! Snacks provided to youth age 18 and younger courtesy of God's Pantry.

Calling all adults! Join us for a relaxing hour as we follow along with a video and learn to paint. Now meeting every month on the Last Monday of the month. All skill levels invited. Materials will be provided. Registration Required.
