Beginning English classes are held twice weekly to help participants improve English language reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Classes and class materials are free to everyone. Participants can practice their new skills at any of our ESOL conversation group meetings. Questions: Email abell@lexpublib.org.
Welcome to the Lexington Tree Week Book Swap! Join us for a fun Tree Week event where book lovers come together to trade books. Bring your gently used books and swap them for new literary treasures. Fiction, non-fiction and kids books--anything that celebrates or explores trees and nature is welcome! Let's promote reading and sustainability by giving books a new life.

Practice your English speaking skills in a group meeting every week. In this casual class we will practice & improve your English. Intermediate English listening comprehension, reading practice & conversation with an emphasis on cultural topics. For adults. Registration not required. FALL CLASSES BEGIN AUGUST 11.
You've grown a great garden! Now what? Or you've supported local farmers at the farmers' market, but now what do you cook? This class will go into the best vegetable harvesting techniques, storage recommendations and healthy summer harvest recipes.
*Recommended registration due to a limited number of plants. However, all are welcome to enjoy the educational class*
Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
