Laura Hatfield, Superintendent of Community Engagement for Lexington Parks & Recreation, manages Lexington Parks five community centers, Volunteer Program, Partnership Program and marketing team. In this position for five years and previously serving as Director of ONE Lexington and the Executive Director for Partners for Youth, Laura has been with the Lexington Fayette County Government for over 15 years. Laura graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science in 2000 and in 2017 received a Master’s Degree in Community and Leadership Development in 2017. Laura serves in many capacities in her faith community and through volunteerism. Her most cherished role is being a Big Sister to Lizzie through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program since 2019.
