Are you strange and unusual?

Do you like strange and unusual reads? 

Then join us at West Sixth Brewing for our monthly Cult Classics Book Club! This month, we'll be reading "Queer" by William S. Burroughs. Books available at the previous month's meeting, or at the front desk of the Central Library.

Each family will take home their own flowers to care for. We'll head outdoors to plant. Get ready for a little mess! No reservation required. 

Authors Juniper Hayward and Athena Liu were supposed to be twin rising stars. But Athena is a literary darling while June is a nobody. Who wants stories about basic white girls?, June thinks.

Join us for the "East Asia Edition" of Bite Club which will include cookbooks with the cuisine of Korea and Japan. Members can choose a recipe from one of the cookbooks provided or use their own recipe to contribute a dish. If it's your first time, you can simply come to taste, discuss, and enjoy!

After the story, Wild Birds Unlimited will teach us about our backyard birds and help us make a simple bird feeder to take home.

All skill levels are welcome!

Writing journals will be available while supplies last!

Registration is required; the book is available for pick up at the Beaumont Branch’s front desk. If you have any questions, please email mstout@lexpublib.org.

After the story, we’ll create our own first aid kits to take home! No registration required.

Drop off your old puzzles at starting Friday, May 1, and receive a ticket to swap for a puzzle on the day of the event! One ticket per puzzle donated.
