Join the Lexington Public Library's Kentucky Room staff for a day of genealogy and local history.

Genealogists and historians Pam Brinegar, Mike Denis, and Amanda Higgins will present on different topics of interest.

The Next Chapter Book Club offers a unique, community-based Book Club Program for Adolescents and Adults with Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Other Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The club will meet on the first Thursday of each month (with October being an exception), where we will participate in discussion, enjoy activities, and select future readings.

For September, the Blue Grass True Crime Book Club is reading Cemetery Road Murders: The Shocking True Tale of Kentucky’s Murder Mansion by Wes Swietek.

September is 250Lex Sports Month, so we're celebrating with a "Tailgatin' Edition" of Bite Club! Members can choose a recipe from the cookbooks provided or use their own recipe to contribute a pre-game item. If it's your first time, you can simply come to taste, discuss, and enjoy!

Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Join us for the newest adult book club here at Eastside, where we dive into the growing collection of Young Adult Novels. These books cover topics from mysteries to romance and everything in-between, leading to an open discussion about each novel.

Open to any adult 18 and older.

Bring your sketchbook and favorite art supplies for a chilled out afternoon of creating art! We'll have music, guided exercises to get your creativity flowing, and a supportive environment for learning. Fight art block, make connections, improve your drawings, or just come hang out to relax!

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
