We will learn how to recognize AI-generated media and spot possible deepfakes. Through challenges and discussions, we will explore ethical issues and how to be responsible digital citizens.

Join us at the Beaumont Branch for a special author event with New York Times bestselling author Patti Callahan Henry on Sunday, May 3rd at 2:00 PM. Patti Callahan Henry will discuss her writing life and the stories and history that inspire her beloved novels, followed by a Q&A.

To honor the Mexican-American heritage that celebrates the battle won over the French at the Battle of Puebla, Eastside will host a program designed for preschoolers. We will create take-home crafts like papel picado, musical instruments, pinatas and have some in-house face painting.

Drop off your old puzzles at Beaumont Branch starting Friday, May 1, and receive a ticket to swap for a puzzle on the day of the event! One ticket per puzzle donated.

This presentation with Melissa Smith of the LFUCG Health Department is for informational purposes only and to provide a forum for individuals currently taking a GLP-1 medication under the care of their healthcare provider or those who want to learn more about the medication to make more informed healthcare decisions. Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

First, we'll learn about mathematician and World War II hero Alan Turing. Then we'll try our hand at some codebreaking of our own. Ages 12+
