Then join us at West Sixth Brewing for our monthly Cult Classics Book Club! This month, we'll be reading "Queer" by William S. Burroughs. Books available at the previous month's meeting, or at the front desk of the Central Library.
Watercolor painting club with a Youtube lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. This month's theme is Cyberpunk. Pick any book you want that fits the theme and come discuss it with friends! Each month, we will discuss books in a different genre and everyone will talk about the book they chose to read. Spoilers may occur, so please be advised.
If you're not sure what to read, ask for a recommendation at the Beaumont Branch front desk.
Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver. Please note that we will be building with the classic Lego bricks that contain small parts.
For the "Juneteenth Edition" we'll be cooking African cuisine! Members can choose a recipe from one of the cookbooks provided or use their own cookbook/recipe to contribute a dish. If it's your first time, you can simply come to taste, discuss, and enjoy!
