We'll have plenty of tape 'roads' connecting different parts of our interactive town. Bring your own toy car or borrow one of ours to drive our masking tape roads and explore different neighborhoods on your road trip adventure. Recommended for ages 2-5 with caregiver.

Parents, caregivers, and children are invited to join the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service to learn how using our senses can make eating a more enjoyable experience. Registration is recommended but not required.

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

Kids can splash, pour, scoop, and experiment at a variety of water stations, from mini “splash zones” to pouring and sensory tables. Along the way, they’ll explore early science concepts while building motor skills and enjoying a refreshing summer activity.
Frannie Preston (University of Kentucky Department of Forestry and Natural Resources Extension), will teach you how to find and identify wildlife signs and learn how biologists use these signs as a tool for research.
