Are you curious about animals from Australia or Butterflies? Maybe you want to learn more about dinosaurs or puppet-making. In each Curious Crafting session we will explore a new topic, read a book, and make a craft to take home! 

Participants are welcome to drop in anytime during the program and stay as little or as long as they would like!

Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.

This month's theme is American History. Pick any book you want that fits the theme and come discuss it with friends! Each month, we will discuss books in a different genre and everyone will talk about the book they chose to read. Spoilers may occur, so please be advised.

If you're not sure what to read, ask for a recommendation at the Beaumont Branch front desk.

Dress for mess to celebrate July 4th and America's 250th Birthday with stories and (art) fireworks at the library! Recommended for families and children age 3 and up for painting activities.

A special presentation on "Women Spies of the American Revolution," as well as remarks by special guests, live music, and special tours of the Central Library Gallery exhibit, "Revolutionary Threads," with the descendants of the Patriots whose lives are featured in the exhibit. Organized by the Transylvania Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Beginning English classes are held twice weekly to help participants improve English language reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.  Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. "When Javier Zamora was nine, he traveled unaccompanied by bus, boat, and foot from El Salvador to the United States to reunite with his parents. This is his memoir of that dangerous journey, a nine-week odyssey that nearly ended in calamity on multiple occasions. It's a miracle that Javier survived the crossing and a miracle that he has the talent to now tell his story so masterfully.
