Calling All Local Educators
Teacher Time returns to the Marksbury Family Branch Makerspace July 13–17 and to the Eastside Makerspace July 20–24, with two sessions each day: 11:00am–2:00pm and 3:00pm–6:00pm.
Teacher Time is a free library program offering local educators dedicated hours and staff support to use Makerspace equipment for creating classroom resources.
How It Works
Thank you for your interest in Teacher Time! Registration opens mid-summer each year. All sessions are full for 2026, but we hope to see you at a future event!

Equipment
Equipment
During Teacher Time, you can use the Makerspace equipment to create classroom resources, including the laminator, large-format printer, button makers, sublimation printer, laser engraver, and Cricut machines. Click each piece of equipment to learn more about its location and what you need to bring.
Please note that a large-format laminator will be available at both Eastside and Marksbury Family Branch Makerspace for Teacher Time sessions. Materials that are typically charged to your $8 monthly library credit will be free of charge.

The library is here to give you the extra support you need to thrive in your classroom, whether you’re looking for supplemental curriculum, one-on-one assistance from a librarian, or a longer loan period on materials checked out through the library.
Teacher Cards are designed specially for educators in Fayette County, with a checkout limit of 100 items, an increased reserve limit from 20 to 30 items, and a loan period of 6 weeks on 28-day items. You can apply for a Teacher Card at any of our locations.
