Meeting Room Policy

Library meeting rooms are available for non-profit, for profit, study groups, and community organizations seeking to hold free meetings, trainings, and workshops. The meeting rooms may not be used for direct sales, solicitation, non-library fundraisers, social or celebratory events.  All activities held in the Lexington Public Library meeting rooms must comply with the Lexington Public Library’s Customer Responsibilies Procedure, Meeting Room Regulations, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

The needs of the Lexington Public Library and its affiliated groups take precedence over non-library use of rooms.

Users of the Lexington Public Library meetings rooms shall be required to indemnify and hold harmless the Library from and and all claims or actions attributable to the use of the Library facilities. Users may not restrict library staff members from having reasonable access to the room during their reservation time. Customer use of Library Meeting Rooms may be restricted due to policy violations.

Exemptions from these policies may be made by the Executive Director or designee.
