People choose to can foods at home for many reasons: to preserve the harvest from their gardens or local farmers markets for year-round enjoyment; to gain more control over what is in their food by limiting or avoiding salt, sugar or preservatives; to save money; to get better-tasting canned foods; to follow family traditions; or just for the sense of satisfaction that home canning provides.

Sensory play and crafts that are inclusive, autism-friendly, and fun for everyone! Activities are designed for children with a developmental age of approximately 2-5 years. ALL children are welcome! For questions or accommodation requests, please contact the Beaumont Branch.

Visit the Marksbury Family Branch to redeem your ticket(s)! Participants may obtain one puzzle per ticket.

2:30 PM: Open to ticket holders.

3:30 PM: Open to everyone, first come first served, limited inventory. We hope to find a home for every puzzle!

TikTok dancers of all levels are welcome to join us for selfie stations at the library to capture your best TikTok worthy dance moves. No registration required.

Northside Branch - Large Meeting Room

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

Learn tools to regulate during stressful moments! Participants will practice slow moving yoga on the floor in a dim space. Every participant will have time to craft on their own project - bring your own (such as crochet, sketching, journaling) or work on a provided rock art craft. For ages 13-17, registration required.

Meet and hang out with other Pokémon fans! Bring your cards to trade or play, or chill out with a craft. For ages 5 and up. No registration required.
