Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. Enjoy a 45-minute Creative Movement class exploring rhythm, locomotor, and non-locomotor movement as well as story-dancing. Open to 10 children ages 3 - 5. Presented by Bluegrass Youth Ballet. Wear comfortable clothes and socks.

The program for Ballet Folklorico Tradiciones de mi Tierra begins with an exciting showcase of traditional Mexican dances that highlight the rich cultural heritage of various regions in Mexico. Performance features vibrant costumes, music, and energetic choreography, capturing the essence of the folk traditions.

Join us for a fun, hands-on musical adventure! In this workshop, kids ages nine and up will explore the exciting world of the orchestra and its instrument families — strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion.

Adult class will focus on the Harlem Renaissance (1918–1937) This was a cultural movement that celebrated Black identity, creativity, and intellectual achievement, particularly in Harlem, New York. Black artists played a pivotal role in shaping the visual representation of this era, using their work to express cultural pride, challenge stereotypes, and celebrate African heritage.

First, we'll have keyboards available so that school-age kids, teens, and adults can?try out the program for themselves! This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with music. 
Student Performances 

Beginning English classes are held twice weekly to help participants improve English language reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.  Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Classes and class materials are free to everyone. Participants can practice their new skills at any of our ESOL conversation group meetings. Questions: Email abell@lexpublib.org.
