LPL After School is a FREE afterschool drop-in program at the Northside and Village Branches for kids aged 5-12 and a caregiver that takes place 4 pm - 6 pm Monday through Friday. Join us for snacks, STEAM and enrichment activities, and homework help from one of our volunteers. No need for children and caregivers to register - just show up! Activities provided courtesy of CHI St. Joseph Health. Snacks will be provided to youth age 18 and younger courtesy of God's Pantry.
On Saturdays, snacks with enrichment activites are offered from 3pm-5pm.

Do you want to play the #1 ranked Scrabble Grandmaster in North America? If so, stop by the Beaumont Branch to give it your all against Mack Meller. Mack Meller is a Scrabble Grandmaster currently ranked #1 in North America. He started playing Scrabble at home at age 4 and played his first tournament at age 10, becoming the youngest expert in history at age 11. He's always enjoyed Scrabble for its strategic complexity and warm community of both casual and competitive players. Scrabble is a great way to improve vocabulary and mathematical skills for kids and adults alike, and Mack enjoys spreading his passion for the game to players of all ages and abilities. Lexington, Kentucky (December 20, 2022) – Lexington Public Library announced today that its popular LPL After School program will return in 2023, beginning January 2.
LPL After School is a FREE drop-in program for kids aged 5-12 that takes place after regular school hours, Mondays through Fridays from 4-6pm. The Library, in partnership with God’s Pantry, will provide snacks for all participants as well as STEAM and enrichment activities, homework help, and reading recommendations. And there’s no need to register—just show up!
