October is spooky season, so we'll be celebrating with a "Deadly Delicious Edition" of Bite Club! Members can choose a recipe from one of the autumn themed cookbooks provided or use their own recipe to contribute a dish. If it's your first time, you can simply come to taste, discuss, and enjoy!
The weekly classes will be informal and guided by a moderator. EVERYONE is welcome - ANY native language, ANY English level. No registration needed. Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Registration required so I will be able to purchase enough supplies for everyone.
City budgets are an expression of what a community values. This workshop is all about understanding how your tax dollars get to the city, and then how and what city government invests that money into. This workshops includes a mock budgeting process to help you understand the trade-offs and negotiations in the process.
Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
