Join Roda Ferraro, Director of Keeneland Library, as she presents The Heart of the Turf: Racing’s Black Pioneers, a talk with Q&A that highlights the lives and careers of African American horsemen and women from the mid-1800s to today.

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

CivicLex's Workshops are designed to help local residents learn about local government.  

Not an artist? Not a problem! We'll provide the art supplies; you provide the creativity during this open art program. Pinch pots are a great introductory activity for kids to learn basic clay sculpting. Recommend for 5-12 years old, dress for mess please.

Participants are welcome to drop in anytime during the program and stay as little or as long as they would like! For ages 6-13; grades 2-8.
