It's summer and that means vacation time, therefore we'll be celebrating with the Recipe Road Trip Edition of Bite Club! We'll be cooking our way across the USA with cookbooks focusing on Americana recipes, such as nostalgic dishes, bakes from different states, and diner food. Members can choose a recipe from one of the cookbooks provided or use their own cookbook/recipe to contribute a dish.

"When Javier Zamora was nine, he traveled unaccompanied by bus, boat, and foot from El Salvador to the United States to reunite with his parents. This is his memoir of that dangerous journey, a nine-week odyssey that nearly ended in calamity on multiple occasions. Let's explore how our senses affect our eating experience and discuss some activities that allow us to have playful experiences with food. Parents, caregivers, and children are invited to join the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service to learn how using our senses can make eating a more enjoyable experience. Registration is recommended but not required.

Teens will get hands-on experience, try new flavors, and have fun cooking together. For middle and high schoolers. Registration required.
