This two-day workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of music production and digital design. During Day 1 we will create their own beat using Logic Pro. On Day 2 we’ll design professional-style cover art using Canva to match their sound and artistic vision.

In this workshop, we’ll explore comic and manga art, going over character designs, poses, panel layouts, and simple storytelling techniques that make manga so exciting to read. Whether you’re a beginner or already love to draw, you’ll leave with your very own comic page and the basics to keep creating.

Calling all adults! Join us for a relaxing hour as we follow along with a video and learn to paint. We meet every month on the last Monday of the month. All skill levels invited. Materials will be provided as supplies last. Registration Requested.

You are invited to come test your spelling a-c-u-m-e-n at the Beaumont Library Adult Spelling Bee! If you are the last speller standing you will not only have incredible bragging rights, but a magnificent LPL-themed gift bag, credit at the LPL Book Cellar and a medal.

When people—particularly those who reside outside of the Bluegrass State—think of Kentucky, three things usually come to mind: bourbon, Colonel Sanders’ secret chicken recipe, and the glamourous Kentucky Derby. Add college basketball to that list, and you have yourself a superfecta.

The weekly classes will be informal and guided by a moderator.  EVERYONE is welcome - ANY native language, ANY English level. No registration needed.  Practica ingles y conoce gente nueva. ¡Todos son bienvenidos! ¡Todos los idiomas, todos los niveles de ingles. Jifunze Kiingereza na kukutana na watu wapya. Participants are welcome to drop-in anytime between 3:30-5:30 pm and stay as little or as long as you would like!

Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
