Join us in the Farish Theater as Lexington Public Library welcomes Kentucky authors Wes Browne, Weatherford Award winning author of They All Fall the Same, and Chris McGinley, author of the newly released horror novel Hail Holy Queens. The event will an include a conversation between the two writers, followed by an audience Q&A session and a book signing.

You are invited to come test your spelling a-c-u-m-e-n at the Beaumont Library Adult Spelling Bee! If you are the last speller standing you will not only have incredible bragging rights, but a magnificent LPL-themed gift bag, credit at the LPL Book Cellar and a medal.

Join us at West Sixth Brewing for our monthly Cult Classics Book Club! This month, we will be discussing "We Have Always Lived In The Castle" by Shirley Jackson. Copies of the book are available at the previous month meeting, or the Central Library's front desk.

Are you interested in enhancing your Spanish speaking abilities? If so, we would like to invite you to our weekly group meeting. Our friendly group is open to everyone who wants to practice speaking Spanish in a supportive and welcoming environment. Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
