Jazz at the Library celebrates its 200th performance with Grammy-award winning musician Zach Brock. The Lexington native will perform on violin with Brandon Coleman on guitar, Matt Wiles on bass, and Paul Deatherage on drums.
The weekly classes will be informal and guided by a moderator. EVERYONE is welcome - ANY native language, ANY English level. No registration needed. You can have a nice lawn without excessive fertilizer or chemical pest control. We will discuss sustainable alternatives to traditional lawn care strategies. The emphasis will be on working with nature and understanding the biology of cool-season lawn grasses. Learn why late summer is the best time to seed and why common fertilization practices are often not the best approach.
To honor the Mexican-American heritage that celebrates the battle won over the French at the Battle of Puebla, Eastside will host a program designed for preschoolers. We will create take-home crafts like papel picado, musical instruments, pinatas and have some in-house face painting.

This month, we’re making mie goreng - a delicious Indonesian stir-fried noodle dish - in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. For ages 7–12. Registration required.
Participants are welcome to drop in anytime during the program and stay as little or as long as they would like!
