This month's theme is American History. Pick any book you want that fits the theme and come discuss it with friends! Each month, we will discuss books in a different genre and everyone will talk about the book they chose to read. Spoilers may occur, so please be advised.

If you're not sure what to read, ask for a recommendation at the Beaumont Branch front desk.

You will have the opportunity to meet new people who share your interest in the language and culture.

Are you interested in enhancing your Spanish speaking abilities? If so, we would like to invite you to our weekly group meeting. Kids can splash, pour, scoop, and experiment at a variety of water stations, from mini “splash zones” to pouring and sensory tables. Along the way, they’ll explore early science concepts while building motor skills and enjoying a refreshing summer activity.

Join us for a preview of upcoming books from national and local publishers. Find your next favorite book! Representatives from Random House and other publishers will be here to introduce upcoming titles.

Erin McGuire-Thompson, author of Cross Country Cryptids: A Road Trip Guide to American Monsters, will join us in the Farish Theater to discuss some folklore and origins behind some well-known (and some obscure) cryptids, which cryptids have been reported in Kentucky, and why people are fascinated by cryptids/folklore in general.

This two-day workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of music production and digital design. During Day 1 we will create their own beat using Logic Pro. On Day 2 we’ll design professional-style cover art using Canva to match their sound and artistic vision.
