Join us in the Farish Theater as Lexington Public Library welcomes Kentucky authors Wes Browne, Weatherford Award winning author of They All Fall the Same, and Chris McGinley, author of the newly released horror novel Hail Holy Queens. The event will an include a conversation between the two writers, followed by an audience Q&A session and a book signing.

You are invited to come test your spelling a-c-u-m-e-n at the Beaumont Library Adult Spelling Bee! If you are the last speller standing you will not only have incredible bragging rights, but a magnificent LPL-themed gift bag, credit at the LPL Book Cellar and a medal.

We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.
