Beaumont Branch - Large Meeting Room
Come learn how to make your own fermented hot sauces with seasonal produce and start your own jar to take home!

Library meeting rooms are available for individuals, non-profit, for profit, study groups, and community organizations seeking to hold meetings, trainings, and workshops.  Meeting rooms are free of charge.  Sterno and other tools/equipment that have an open flame are prohibited.

Northside Branch - Large Meeting Room

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

Lexington, Kentucky (August 18, 2022) – The Lexington Public Library broke ground on a new, significantly larger facility in the former Village Branch location on Versailles Road to better provide for the needs of the neighborhoods it serves. The new branch will reflect the community’s vision for a state-of-the-art community hub, one that offers robust resources and a myriad of program and service offerings. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday at a media event featuring Library and City officials.

Join the Fayette County Extension & Master Gardeners for FREE gardening plant giveaways in May, June and July at Northside!  Prepare your spring and summer garden with free plants in May, then learn to attract pollinators with more FREE plants and seeds in June, and in July join us for more FREE fall garden and herb seeds.

Participants are welcome to drop-in anytime between 3:30-5:30 pm and stay as little or as long as you would like!

Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
