In this hands-on Botanical Printing workshop, we’ll explore the beauty blooming all around us and learn how to turn common spring plants into natural works of art. You’ll start with simple plant identification focusing on easily recognized, abundant blooms and leaves you can confidently gather in your own backyard.

Keven McQueen is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at EKU and the author of 27 books on history, biography, the paranormal, and historical true crime. He will be sharing stories from his book, Creepy Kentucky, with an audience Q & A to follow.  

A documentary presentation followed by an interview with retired coal miners Anita Cherry and Diana Baldwin. Art by Ralph Carr Sr. inspired by coal country on exhibit before and after.

Every child who attends the program will receive a copy of The Jockey & Her Horse – a children’s book about Cheryl White, co-written by her brother.
