Join us for a preview of upcoming books from national and local publishers. Find your next favorite book! Representatives from Random House and other publishers will be here to introduce upcoming titles.

Join Northside staff and learn to make a simple, traditional Cathedral Windows quilt. Make one block each month and you will make a finished small quilt or throw by the end of 12 months! Fabric and sewing tools provided while supplies last. Prerequisites: you must already be able to thread a needle and hand sew a straight stitch and a slip stitch. Please register if you plan to attend.

The weekly classes will be informal and guided by a moderator.  EVERYONE is welcome - ANY native language, ANY English level. Kids can splash, pour, scoop, and experiment at a variety of water stations, from mini “splash zones” to pouring and sensory tables. Along the way, they’ll explore early science concepts while building motor skills and enjoying a refreshing summer activity.

Frannie Preston (University of Kentucky Department of Forestry and Natural Resources Extension), will teach you how to find and identify wildlife signs and learn how biologists use these signs as a tool for research.

Participants are welcome to drop-in anytime between 3:30-5:30 pm and stay as little or as long as you would like!

Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
