We'll introduce you to the 7 Money Milestones, a step-by-step action plan designed to guide you on your journey to a secure and independent financial future.

This beginner workshop is all about the who, what, and why of local government. We’ll help you understand how Lexington’s local government is structured, who is in charge of what, and how legislation gets made. The workshop includes an interactive activity to learn more about the people behind local government.

Learn how to turn your ideas into a manga-style comic page. In this workshop, we’ll explore manga art, character designs, poses, panel layouts, and simple storytelling techniques that make manga so exciting to read. Whether you’re a beginner or already love to draw, you’ll leave with your very own comic page and the basics to keep creating.
Ages 13+
Participants are welcome to drop in anytime during the program and stay as little or as long as they would like!
Children 7 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.

Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Registration required so I will be able to purchase enough supplies for everyone.

Lexington, Kentucky (January 17, 2024) – Lexington Public Library is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the Marksbury Family Branch of the Lexington Public Library.
Festivities include a Media Day event on Friday, March 8 from 8:30-10am and a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, March 9 (more details coming soon). The current Village Branch will remain open through 6pm on Friday, February 23.
Library meeting rooms are available for individuals, non-profit, for profit, study groups, and community organizations seeking to hold meetings, trainings, and workshops. Meeting rooms are free of charge. Sterno and other tools/equipment that have an open flame are prohibited.
