Lexington, Kentucky (April 12, 2023) – The Lexington Public Library will be Fine Free for all materials, effective immediately, following a vote at today’s regularly scheduled monthly board meeting. Erin McGuire-Thompson, author of Cross Country Cryptids: A Road Trip Guide to American Monsters, will join LPL in the Farish Theater to discuss some folklore and origins behind well-known (and obscure) cryptids, which cryptids have been reported in Kentucky, and why people are fascinated by cryptids and folklore in general.
