The Lexington Public Library is pleased to offer teachers, childcare providers, and homeschooling families the "Bucket of Books" service. We can supplement your curriculum with specially-selected books on a particular topic or provide your classroom with specially-selected books for your students' pleasure reading.
An eligible parent or legal guardian can complete this form to apply for a digital library card for a juvenile.

February is Black History Month, so we will celebrate with an "African American Cookbook Edition"! African American Cuisine, often called Soul Food, has a rich heritage with its roots in the rural South and the culinary innovations of traditional West African dishes. Members can choose a recipe from one of the African American cookbooks provided or use their own recipe to contribute a dish.

National Mocktail & Pizza Week is this month, so we will have the "Pizza & Mocktails Edition" of Bite Club to celebrate! Members can choose a recipe from one of the cookbooks provided or use their own recipe to contribute a dish. If it's your first time, you can simply come to taste, discuss, and enjoy!

Please complete this form to request a Preschool Storytime Kit. Kits may be borrowed for 2 weeks. Each kit contains: 5-7 books, a binder with songs, action rhymes, and fingerplays, and several classroom manipulatives for activities.

The Materials Selection Policy was updated and renamed the Collection Development Policy which was approved by the Board on January 14, 2009. Watercolor painting club with a lesson each month suitable for beginners, dilettantes, and anyone who just wants to hang out and paint with us. We will be following a series of tutorials that start with the basics at our first meeting and build on those skills with each class that follows. Registration required so I will be able to purchase enough supplies for everyone.

Air plants are members of the diverse Tillandisa genus which is in the bromeliad family. In their native habitat of tropical and subtropical North and South America, these epiphytic plants will be found clinging to trunks and branches of other plants or anything else they can sit on including rocks and buildings.
